Part of the used car market is prepared for selling, not for driving: hidden body repairs, adjusted mileage, expensive service work coming up. Visually they look great.

Before recommending a car we assess technical condition, body, history, mileage logic and documents. If we see serious risk – we say so directly, even if that means the deal doesn't happen.

If you have already found an option yourself, we can carry out a pre-purchase inspection and give a clear verdict: buy, negotiate or walk away.

What we assess

  • Mileage and service history logic – sudden jumps, missing records, or typical model issues being ignored.
  • Body and paint thickness signs – inflexible repairs, colour mismatch, or damage to the frame/brake towers.
  • Technical condition at the workshop: engine, gearbox, suspension, diagnostics – not just “drives fine” on a short test drive.

How the process works

  1. First we gather listing information and documents – roadworthiness test validity, country of registration, number of owners, known accidents.
  2. We carry out viewing and workshop inspection: body, suspension, engine, diagnostic readout, test drive.
  3. We deliver a verdict in plain language: what is good, what is risky, what fixes may cost and whether it is worth negotiating further.

  • A client found a “perfect” sedan listing – during inspection we found body repair signs and inconsistent mileage; we recommended walking away.
  • An estate looked tidy, but diagnostics showed transmission faults – the client negotiated the price down or walked away.
